The artist cut the Arabic phrase "La ghaliba illa Allah" which means "There is no victor but God "
This phrase is inspired by Holy Quran. It was the motto of the Nasrid dynasty creator of the Alhambra, is imprinted thousands of times on its walls. The Nasrid dynasty was the last Arab Muslim dynasty in Iberia, ruling the Emirate of Granada from 1230 until 1492.
The artwork is cut by a scroll saw from Birch. It is placed on a velvet mat. There is no dye and stain involved.
It was completed with 125 hours of work including total design and cut.
